The most intriguing aspect of your story, honestly, is the fact that the ultimate anticipated outcome did not happen. You lived and hearing first hand the story of the events that led up to the attack, I find fascinating. It's different from hearing an account or watching a dramatization based on true events. I am a fan of true crime books in general but reading one written by a victim takes courage and really immerses the reader from the start. I would buy this book for a couple of reasons. First of all because I live in Tennessee and this crime took place in Knoxville so I feel a sort of connection. Second, as I mentioned previously, the account is written first hand. I prefer e-books. Best of luck!

    1. What most intrigues/interests you about my story? There are often times stories that are so difficult to comprehend, and I think that this is one. How could a wife betray her husband and her children? Not just that, but in such a horrendous way. I often times wonder about the mental place that a person must be in to make the decision to commit such crimes, or even think about them.

    2. Would you, and if so, why would you buy this book? I would by the book. I think the story is interesting, and obviously I do not know the half of it. I am interested in knowing all of the intricacies of what happened and why. I am always interested in true crime stories (I do have a Master's degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Criminal Behavior and Analysis)and like to try and dissect each bit of information that is presented.

    3. What is your preferred reading format? (hard back, paperback, e-books, etc.) My preference for all reading is hard back, or at least a print edition, however, I often choose e-books when the price is drastically less than the print copy (at least until the price goes down to something manageable).

  4. 1) I first saw Rob's story on an episode on "Snapped" on Oxygen. I believe it is the only episode I have watched where the victim was still alive. That alone intrigued me greatly. Hearing of Rob's love and devotion to his children is truly something to admire. As a mother myself, I cannot imagine anything coming before my child. God Bless Rob for being "mother" and father for his children.
    2) I would buy this book in hopes of obtaining more insight into this story. I am always interested in true crime stories.
    3) I prefer to read on my kindle but also love to have print copies of my favorite books.

I am interested in this story because Rob lived to tell the events of his horrific ordeal. I would like to read more about this case, a book would enlighten me more than a one hour television documentary. I would rather read Rob's words anyway. I would much prefer hard copy in this instance.

  6. I've lived my entire life in the Maryville/Knoxville area. What intrigues me most is the fact that such a horrendous crime could occur right here at home, and the complete and total injustice of the outcome. I would certainly buy the book, for I would love to read the first-hand account of a man who survived a nightmare and lived to enjoy a fulfilling life with his two beautiful children. I prefer hard-back books.

This story intrigues me as it is a true story told from the survivor's point of view. I also like the proposed title, "Rude Awakenings". I would purchase this book, as I am intriqued by true crime stories that can come from what would appear a "normal" setting. Even though I know or suspect I know the outcome, learning the "whole story" behind the scenes is what captures my attention to continue reading.I still prefer to hold a book in my hands and love a paperback! I wish you success in publishing your story.
